Run Wealthfolio’s web edition on PikaPods without maintaining your own server. You access your instance through your browser.

See [Third-party Hosting](https://wealthfolio.app/docs/guide/self-hosting/third-party-hosting/) for the hosting overview.

[PikaPods](https://www.pikapods.com/) hosts open-source apps and handles server maintenance and app updates. It’s an option if you want Wealthfolio available online without setting up Docker, a VPS, or a reverse proxy yourself.

**Disclaimer:** Wealthfolio participates in PikaPods’ revenue-sharing program. A portion of the revenue from hosting Wealthfolio supports its continued development.

## Getting started

1. Click **Run on PikaPods** above and sign in or create a PikaPods account.
2. Choose a name and hosting region for your pod (your hosted instance).
3. Review the CPU, memory, storage, and estimated hosting cost. Complete any app settings shown during setup.
4. Create the pod, then open its web address once it’s running to access Wealthfolio.

You can adjust resources later in your pod’s settings. See the [PikaPods getting-started guide](https://docs.pikapods.com/manage/getting-started/) for details on creating and managing a pod.

## Hosting and billing

Your instance and its data are hosted by PikaPods. Hosting charges are paid directly to PikaPods and depend on the resources you select. Check [PikaPods pricing](https://www.pikapods.com/#pricing) for current rates.

PikaPods manages app updates, so new Wealthfolio releases become available according to its update schedule. See its [apps and updates FAQ](https://docs.pikapods.com/faq/apps).

## Your data and backups

With this setup, your portfolio data lives on your hosted instance. You can download persistent files through PikaPods’ SFTP access and configure backups to your own S3-compatible storage. Follow the [PikaPods backup guide](https://docs.pikapods.com/manage/backup) for setup and restore instructions.

For exports within Wealthfolio, see [Export & Backup](https://wealthfolio.app/docs/guide/data-export/).
