## How to connect Coinbase

Connection method: OAuth on Coinbase's website. Follow the steps below to add the account.

1.  Choose Coinbase in Wealthfolio Connect and open SnapTrade's secure connection window.
    
2.  Follow the redirect to Coinbase's website and sign in there.
    
3.  Review the account and read-only access requested for portfolio synchronization.
    
4.  Approve the connection, return to Wealthfolio, and review your crypto holdings and activity.

## Your account stays under your control

### Read-only access

The connection can retrieve account data. It cannot place trades or move money.

### Your sign-in

With OAuth, you enter your Coinbase username and password only on Coinbase's website. Wealthfolio and SnapTrade never receive them, and you can revoke the authorization without changing your password.

### Your Wealthfolio data

Supported account data is passed to Wealthfolio on your device. Wealthfolio does not persistently store your holdings, balances, or activities on its servers.

## Good to know about this connection

-   Coinbase stock holdings are not currently available through this connection; only supported crypto holdings are returned.
-   If Coinbase emails you a sign-in confirmation link, open it in the same browser and session as the connection flow. Passkeys or Google and Apple sign-in may fail inside an embedded browser; reopening the flow in a full browser can help.

## Frequently asked questions

### Will Coinbase stock holdings appear in Wealthfolio?

No. This connection returns supported crypto holdings, balances, buys, sells, deposits, and withdrawals. Coinbase stock holdings are not currently available.

### What if Coinbase's sign-in confirmation does not work?

Open the confirmation link in the same browser and session as the connection flow. If a passkey or Google or Apple sign-in fails in the embedded window, reopen the flow in a full browser.

### How much Coinbase activity can Wealthfolio sync?

Available crypto activity can go back to when you opened the account.

### Does Wealthfolio get my Coinbase password?

No. You sign in on Coinbase's website and approve read-only access. You can disconnect later to stop future updates.
