Wealthfolio Connect is our answer. It keeps Wealthfolio local-first, and adds the convenience layer as an optional subscription. We partnered with SnapTrade, a SOC 2 Type II certified aggregator, for secure account connections.

Connect is a bridge, not a vault. Three parties are involved, and here is exactly who touches what.
Where your broker login and data live
When you link a broker, authentication is handled through our aggregator partner (SnapTrade). With OAuth, you sign in on the brokerage website and your credentials stay there. When OAuth is unavailable, the required credentials or API keys go directly to SnapTrade over an encrypted connection and are stored there encrypted—never by Wealthfolio. SnapTrade is a SOC 2 Type II certified provider. It maintains the connection and processes the account data the broker returns. Connect only receives that data to pass it through to your device, and the web portal displays it live from their API. We never receive your login or persistently store your financial data.
